Application For Railcar Winch Puller:

 

In the box below please explain as much as possible about the application and explain what information or type response that your are requesting.  If you have a specification package and/or drawings please state that in your description.  We will call you or email you to give you information on where to send the bid package.  Please remember that all documentation is in English.  It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide for any language translations that the purchaser may want.

 01. Where is the location of the job site where the railcar winch puller/s will be used?

 02. Plan and profile of track system as well as weight and clearance limitations

 03. How may railcar winch pullers are needed?

 04. How will the railcar winch puller be used; loading or unloading?

        Please provide details.  If it is unloading please provide information on the unloading

        pit regarding length, width, capacity, etc.

 05. How many railcars are to be moved in one string? (loaded and empty)

 06. Is radio remote control applicable?

 07. Will the railcar winch puller/s be used in conjunction with a mobile railcar mover or 

        locomotive?  If yes, then is it a dedicated unit or used for general in-plant switching?

 08. How many hours per day will the railcar winch puller be required to operate?

 09. Will the railcar winch puller need to pull in one direction or be fully reversible?

 10. Is the cable to be arranged in a single line, closed loop, coupled between two opposing drums?

 11. Will the railcar winch puller be operating in a shed?  If yes, then provide clearance

        information.

 12. Is a railcar gate opener required?  If yes, would it be helpful to have the power unit

        for the winch puller also power a hydraulic gate opener?

 13. What type of on site maintenance personnel and facilities are available?

 14. Is the job site FRA, OSHA, or MSHA regulated or regulated by another agency?

 15. Does the site currently have any locomotives, mobile railcar movers, etc.? 

       If the answer is yes, then please list type, model, and number of units?

 16. What is the time frame for your project? ( planning, ordering, delivery, startup)

 17. Who will be doing the preventative maintenance? Do they understand

        microprocessors?
